My oh my what a day it has been. It's currently 10:47pm PST and 12:47am CST and the weather is fairly well at around 40+ degrees with a high of around 60+ degrees.
Well let me back up a bit. As procrastination had it, I barely made it out of my house with all of my stuff. I didn't even have my suitcase ready until about 30mins before I left the house. The drive towards Midway was quick and without issues. The weather was picking up, but my flight was on schedule. Check-in went smooth; security check point went just fine (No cavity search this time). I only had to wait about 30mins until it was time to board the plane.
The flight went fairly smooth and without any problems and we actually arrived 30mins ahead of schedule. However, that extra time was made up waiting for the luggage.
My cousin picked me up from the airport and then I went to his place. Had some lunch and then we set off on an exciting journey all around the bay area. I literally visited every major tourist spot and more in less than 3 hours. It was amazing, from the Pacific Ocean, to the various cities like Pacifica, San Jose, San Andreas, etc..., the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, Twin Peaks, and much much more. (Links to all my pictures will be posted soon)
Finally when I was dropped off at my hotel, I even had the chance to witness the huge Chinese New Year parade and celebration. They blew up over 50,000 firecrackers in honor of the 50 thousandths year. I walked around the streets and even stopped by China town and picked up a few poppers.
I am really enjoying this trip so far and just trying to soak in the atmosphere, such beautiful scenery.
Tomorrow I'm planning on visiting Alcatraz and then go on from there.
I'd write some more, but jet lag is getting to me... Like right about now........
Stay tuned for the next times exciting adventures with MORTEGA on da Street!!!
